THE PASSING OF RICHARD FITZHUGH

Visual Artist Richard Fitzhugh passed away on February 8, 2023. Richard was
an extremely talented and dedicated artist who worked primarily with
architectural renderings and water color paintings. He also had a special talent
for teaching and inspiring young people in the visual arts. He was a founding
member of the Norman Jordan African American Arts & Heritage Academy and
taught the Visual Arts workshops for 35 years. The Academy is very fortunate to
have had an artist of his caliber working with us.
